Daffodils School, Silchar, established in 1994 completed 25 years of its glorious exixtence on 31st January 2019.
A series of events and Inter-School competitions were held during the year January’19 to December’19 to mark the Silver-Jubilee of the school. The school is reckoned as one of the best English-medium schools in the town and the final Silver Jubilee celebrations are sheduled on the 30th and 31st January 2020 to comemorate this momentous occasion we have decided to publish a souvenir. Many eminent persons have contributed for this journal and I express my thanks to them for sharing with us in letters in this silver-jubilee celebration. Many of our present and past students and teachers also contributed their writings for this souvenir. We have tried to include most of them. Generations of students have passed out of this school and have been established in different walks of life. I daresay all of them have become good human beings. We remember them all. In making this silver-Jubilee celebrations we have received ample support from the members of the Daffodils Educational Trust who have generously contributed the financial requirements for these celebrations and patronised in every way. I convey my thanks to them for this noble patronisation.
A word of thanks for the bright alumni of the school who have worked for worshipping their alma-mater and to make the celebration a success. My heart felt thanks to the members of core-committee and managing committee of the school who have co-operated in every way to make the celebrations a success. I appreciate the teachers and studnets of the school who have worked day in and dayout to make the celebration a success.
Above of all, I pay homage to Late Nirmalendu Dey, the founder of the school whose munificence has led to the growth and development of this great instituton of learning.
It is my fond hope that the readers will get a glimpse of our school as we celebrate this historic occasion and kindly connive at the short-comings, if any.
